Vintage Persian Solid Silver Teacup w Glass Liner Court Scene Beautiful solid silver teacup with glass liner, gold leaf rim. It has a court scene of a king receiving the gift of a goat surrounded by soldiers all around the cup. In good condition. 4 ¼” handle to opposite rim, 3 ½” wide, and 2 3/8” tall. Total silver weight is 2.8 troy ounces or 86.7 grams. Quite heavy, good quality. There are some marks on the handle. The cup tests to be solid silver. The best marks are actually on the sugar bowl that goes with this set, which we are also selling, see our other listings. It has the lion with sword mark denoting silver made between 1967-79. There is a mark in Farsi, which I think is a maker’s mark. A town mark. And the number 84, so I assume these are 84/100 silver. In good condition. Some wear to the gold leaf around the rim.
