C1860 French White Opaline Ormolu Bronze mounted Hand Painted Hunting Dogs vase. Condition is very good with no chips or cracks just some goldware on the top rim and some paint loss on the orange and gilded bottom of the vase. The hand painting is outstanding and depicts two setter hunting dogs in pursuit of a quail. The base has a very large polished pontill and fits into the bronze dore base perfectly. The vase is large and stand 13 and 3/4 in tall. A rare combination of bronze and white opaline glass made in France in the 19th century. It looks like an early baccarat piece.
